Hi from Antwerp!

So here we are, in Antwerp! One advantage of a geeky* boyfriend: always a laptop and most of the time Internet nearby!

Yesterday we got here, by train. The trip went fine, travelling from Leiden to Antwerp is quicker than going from Leiden to Sneek -_-. The railway station of Antwerp is actually very beautiful :). The Zoo should be located next to the station, we're going to visit the animals in there tomorrow! :D.

After arriving at the station, we walked to our hotel. Apparently, this is a Jewish neighbourhood or something: I've seen more orthodox Jews on the way to our hotel (about 10 minutes walking) than I've seen in my entire life :). There are also a lot of Diamond / jewelry shops out there: do I see a connection here?

Early in the evening, we decided to take a walk to the shopping area. We went through the city park, which is very nice: a lot of trees, grass and nature-stuff and animals (like rabbits and chickens, with babies!) walking around freely. The 'old city' is also very beautiful: nice shops (although they're exactly the same as Dutch shops... think H&M, HEMA, Kruidvat, etc.) and beautiful buildings :). We had dinner outside, because the weather was really nice: warm and sunny :) and we went to see De Schelde.

Today we did some shopping! :D. Always nice :). Unfortunately, we were both very tired. That's because we've been hunting mosquitos this night :S. And the night before, too. We caught about 4 last night, and still we hadn't got them all. It was really frustrating and we didn't get much sleep... As a result, this afternoon / evening we've both been sleeping. We woke up at 21.30...

The weather has been terrible today. It was like being in Holland :S. Rain, clouds, coldness... argh. But although this isn't Barcelona, me likey!

*: I think I'm allowed to say this, because Gerard used to say he's a geek himself ^_^. Gerard: me loves you very much dear ^_^! 0:-).
